How do I get matched with someone on Trueflutter?
To get matched with other members on Trueflutter, simply send likes and wait for them to be accepted.
If someone you’ve liked has already liked you, you’ll be matched instantly and redirected to a chat with that person!
When someone sends you a like, you’ll receive a like request that will appear on the “Liked Me” screen. To accept a like and create a match:
- Tap on the profile picture of the person who sent the like to open their profile
- Tap on the heart button to accept the like and create a match.
- The chat will be displayed instantly, so don’t be shy about sending the first message!
How to start chatting?
To be able to chat with other members on the app, you have to be matched first. This means you cannot send messages to other members until either the likes you send are accepted, or you get the like requests and accept them.
However, by sending Flutters you can attach an introduction text or even a voice note! Remember that the receiver still has to accept your Flutter to start the chat.
Why don’t I have any likes?
It might take some time to get likes and start conversations once you sign up. To speed the process up, make sure your profile is 100% complete and is as perfect as it can be by including stunning photos and an appealing bio.
You also have the option to activate Bloom for your profile. To activate Bloom, simply tap the ‘Activate Bloom’ button on the ‘Liked me’ screen. When Bloom is active, your profile is shown to more people for 24 hours. This means that more users will see your Blooming profile and may be more likely to send a like request.
How to save a profile and where can I find it then?
There’s an option to save a profile for later if you’re not ready to send a like yet.
- While viewing the profile tap on the bookmark button in the top left corner of the screen to save the profile.
- To view the saved profile go to the Favorites screen. Tap on the bookmark button in the middle of the bottom navigation menu.
- Tap on the profile picture to view the profile.
Who saved my profile: how does it work?
When someone saves your profile, they’ll appear on your Favorites screen in the top section, giving you an easy way to see who’s interested in you. It’s important to note that this section is only visible when someone saves your profile.
As a premium user, you can take advantage of the ability to send likes and match with those who have saved your profile, increasing your chances of finding a compatible match.
Flutters: what are they and what’s so special about them?
Flutters are a special type of like that are designed to catch the eye of potential matches. They always appear at the top of the Likes list with a green border and a Flutter icon, so they are impossible to miss.
In addition, Flutters offer two extra options that make them even more attractive: users can add a text or voice message to their Flutter to make it more personal and engaging.
To send a Flutter, simply follow these steps:
- View the profile of the person you want to send a Flutter to
- Tap on the Flutter button (the one with the butterfly icon in the middle)
- Attach a text or voice message to your Flutter to make it more personal.
- Hit the “Send Flutter” button
It’s important to remember that the receiver must still accept the Flutter to create a match and start a chat. But with Flutters, you can be sure that you’re making a great first impression and standing out from the crowd.
How can I purchase Flutters?
There are a few ways to purchase Flutters:
Profile screen:
- Go to the Profile screen
- Slide the carousel until you see the Flutters banner and tap on it
- Select a package of Flutters
- Confirm the purchase.
The number of Flutters you have will be reflected on the home screen on the Flutter button and on the Profile screen in a specially dedicated section under the ‘Invite friends’ button.
Homescreen:
- If you’re out of Flutters and want to send one to someone, go to the Homescreen and view the profile of the person you want to send the Flutter to.
- Tap on the Flutter button.
- Insert a text or record a voice comment (optional).
- Tap the send Flutter button.
- On the paywall, select a package of Flutters that you would like to purchase.
- Confirm the purchase.
The number of Flutters you have will be reflected on the home screen on the Flutter button and on the Profile screen in a specially dedicated section under the ‘Invite friends’ button. You can also purchase Flutters from there.
Note that premium users get 5 free Flutters each week, so you may not need to purchase Flutters if you have a premium subscription.
What does the gold butterfly on a profile mean?
If you see a profile with a gold butterfly icon this means the user has a premium account. Tap on the icon to see all the benefits of the Premium subscription.
If I created a new account, is it possible to restore the subscription I had on my previous account?
If you have created a new account and would like to restore the subscription you had on your previous account, please contact us at support@trueflutter.com and provide us with the details of your previous account and subscription.
Our support team will be happy to assist you in restoring your subscription on your new account.
I send messages but they are not reflected anywhere.
If you’re having trouble sending messages and they are not appearing in your chat history, there could be a few reasons why this is happening:
- Poor internet connection: If you have a weak internet connection or no internet connection, your messages may not be sent or received properly.
- Technical issues: Sometimes, technical issues can occur on the app’s end that prevent messages from being sent or received. If you suspect this might be the case, try restarting the app or your device.
- You are sending a Flutter. When you send a Flutter, it’s not considered a message that starts a chat automatically. Instead, it’s a way to show your interest in someone and start a conversation in a unique way.
When you send a Flutter with a text or voice comment, the user will receive a notification that they have received a Flutter from you. They will have the option to accept or decline the Flutter. If they accept the Flutter, then you will be notified that a match has been created, and you can start a chat from there.

I unmatched with someone by mistake. How can I retrieve that match?
Once a match has been unmatched, it’s not possible to rematch with that person. Unmatching is a permanent action and cannot be undone.
However, you can continue using the app to find new matches and potentially connect with someone else who shares your interests. We appreciate your understanding and apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused.
The chat disappeared because I unmatched/reported someone accidentally. How can I restore the chat?
We’re sorry to hear that you accidentally unmatched or reported someone and that your chat was deleted as a result. Unfortunately, once a match has been unmatched or reported, all chat history with that person is permanently deleted and cannot be retrieved.
A like from a particular profile has disappeared from my likes list
If you have noticed that the like from a particular profile has disappeared from your likes list, it’s because the user has deleted their profile. When a user deletes their profile, all of the likes and chats are cleared.
We understand that this can be frustrating, but we respect our users’ privacy and allow them to delete their profiles at any time.
A chat with one of my matches disappeared all of a sudden
When a user deletes their profile, any matches or conversations they had with other users will be deleted as well. So if you can’t find a chat you had with someone, it’s possible that they have deleted their profile.
If someone reports or unmatches you, the chat will disappear for you as well. Unfortunately, there is no way to retrieve a chat once it has been deleted.
Why don’t I see any potential matches?
If there are no more profiles on the Homescreen screen you have probably already gone through every profile that meets your filtered settings.
First, try updating your search filters. There are some filters applied by default, such as age and distance. Follow these steps to update your search filters:
- Open Trueflutter
- Go to the Filters screen (tap on the funnel icon in the top right corner)
- Modify the distance and(or) age range
- Verify if there are no more specific filters applied like religion or ethnicity
- Tap on the ‘Apply’ button

How to use filters?
Using filters on a dating app can help you find potential matches that better fit your preferences. Here are some general steps on how to use filters:
- On the Homescreen and tap on the funnel icon in the top right corner to access the filters.
- Select the filters that you want to apply and adjust them based on your preferences.
- Once you have set your filters, hit the “Apply” button to start browsing the profiles that match your new filter settings.
Keep in mind that using too many filters or setting them too narrowly may limit your potential matches.
How to unmatch with a user?
Unmatching with a user is a permanent action, and you will not be able to undo it once it’s done. So, it’s a good idea to think carefully before unmatching with someone.
Follow these steps to unmatch with a user:
- Go to the ‘Chats list’ screen.
- Find the user that you want to unmatch with and open the chat.
- In the top right corner tap on the three-dot menu button to open the chat overflow menu.
- Tap on the ‘Unmatch’.
- Select the appropriate reason.
The user will be removed from your matches and conversations, and you will no longer be able to communicate. It’s important to note that you will also be removed from their conversation list, so they will no longer be able to see your messages or profile.
How to report a user?
Reporting helps us to improve the safety and security of our dating app community. If you come across a user who is engaging in inappropriate behavior you should consider reporting them. This can include behavior such as harassment, offensive or inappropriate content, fake profiles, or suspicious activity.
Keep in mind that once you submit a report, the chats/likes will be hidden and you won’t have access to them anymore (and the reported user as well). Therefore, before you submit the report, make sure to collect all the evidence you need, such as screenshots of inappropriate messages or profile content that violates the Trueflutter Community Guidelines.
It’s also important to note that the report is anonymous, so the user you are reporting will not know that you have reported them.
How to report a user while viewing the profile:
- Scroll to the bottom of the user’s profile that you want to report
- Tap on the “Report user”
- Choose the reason for your report.
- Select the appropriate reason that best describes the behavior or content that is concerning you. Be as specific and detailed as possible in your report, so that the support team can fully understand the issue.
- Provide any additional details or evidence that can help support your report at support@trueflutter.com
- Submit your report, and our Support Team will review it and take appropriate action if necessary. It’s important to note that the process of reviewing and taking action on a report can take some time, so be patient and continue to use the app in the meantime.
How to report a user in the chat:
- Open the chat with a user that you want to report
- In the top right corner tap on the three-dot menu button to open the chat overflow menu
- Select “Report”
- Choose the reason for your report.
- Select the appropriate reason that best describes the behavior or content that is concerning you. Be as specific and detailed as possible in your report, so that the support team can fully understand the issue
- Provide any additional details or evidence that can help support your report at support@trueflutter.com

I can’t log in to my profile
- Make sure that you have a stable internet connection.
- Check that you are using the correct login method, email address, or phone number associated with your account.

Bloom: what is it and when should I use it?
Blooming (or boosting) a profile can bring more likes because it increases the visibility of the profile to other users. When Bloom is active, your profile is shown to more people for 24 hours. This means that more users will see your Blooming profile and may be more likely to send a like request.
How to activate Bloom for your profile:
- Go to your profile screen
- Under the “Invite Friends” button tap on the Bloom section on the left. Bloom can also be purchased by tapping on the Bloom slider at the bottom of the Profile screen
- Select a package and confirm Bloom purchase
- Choose whether you’d like to activate Bloom now or later
When Bloom is active, you’ll see a countdown timer in place of the “Activate Bloom” button.
I want to see how my profile looks to other users
- Go to your profile screen
- Tap on your profile picture in the circle
- Scroll to see your profile details.
I want to reorder/delete/upload new photo
- Go to your profile screen
- Tap on the edit button on the right of your profile picture
- To reorder your photos, tap and hold on the photo and then just drag it to the preferred slot
- To delete a photo, tap on the X button in the left corner of the photo. Please remember that a minimum of 2 photos are mandatory.
- To upload a new picture, tap on the empty picture slot and select a source of the upload (photo gallery or take a selfie). You can upload a maximum of 6 photos.
I want to edit some information on my profile
- Go to your profile screen
- Tap on the edit button on the right of your profile picture
- The edit profile screen is then displayed. Scroll through to see all the information you’ve entered
Please remember that name and age cannot be edited.
I’ve made a typo in my name or saved an incorrect age
Unfortunately you cannot edit your your name or age on the app; this is deliberate to avoid misrepresentation. If you’ve made a mistake in your name or age and wish to update it, please contact us via email support@trueflutter.com
I’ve just signed up. Why can’t I send likes?
To be able to send likes you have to provide some information about yourself. Adding details to your profile allows you to engage with other users and increase your chances of making meaningful connections. To increase your profile visibility, follow these steps:
- Go to your profile screen
- Under your name tap on the “Profile visibility %” button.
This will launch the profile completion flow. You can also access it by pressing on the ‘Like’ button on the Home screen.
Some of the questions are skippable while others are required.
Pro-tip: the more details you share about yourself on your profile, the more quality matches you get on Trueflutter.
What is ‘Profile Visibility’?
Profile visibility is an indicator that demonstrates how complete your profile is.
It isn’t a secret that 100% completed profiles get 3x more likes and matches.
How to build a 100% visible profile?
There are 3 profile creation stages.
To build a 100% visible profile;
- Go to your profile screen
- Under your name tap on the “Profile visibility %” button.
- Provide responses to all of the questions.
- Record an Audio Bio so that potential matches can fall in love with your voice even before hearing it on a call or in person!
- Upload at least 4 photos.
- Don’t forget to pass a selfie verification to get a verified user badge and add the 7 final percent points to complete your profile visibility.
When your profile is 100% complete and visible, the red dot indicator will turn green and the profile completion button no longer tappable.
What does a green checkmark on a profile mean?
The green checkmark on a profile means that the person you see in the photo has verified their profile. The profile verification is a quick selfie check which takes less than one minute of your time and gives you a lot of advantages.
People feel more confident matching with verified profiles; it helps to know that the photos they see on the profile belong to an actual real person. We encourage all our users to complete the selfie verification and enjoy making hundreds of new connections!
Tapping on the verified badge on another user’s profile will open a bottom banner. This banner will prompt you to verify your own profile.
How can I verify my profile/ how can I become a verified user?
Before you start the verification process, please make sure the primary photo on your profile is of good quality and displays your face in good light.
To earn a verified user badge follow these steps:
- Go to your profile screen
- Tap on the icon on the left of your profile picture
- Under the photo upload section you’ll see a verified badge section.
- Tap on ‘Become a verified user’
- Tap on ‘Capture’ to take a selfie
The verified badge (a green checkmark) will appear beside your name on the profile screen if your selfie matches your primary profile picture. Your selfie is never stored or posted on your profile.
After successfully verifying your profile, please note that you may need to restart the app in order to view the verified badge.
Where can I check my account’s location?
There are 3 ways to check your location.
1st:
- Go to your profile screen
- Tap on your profile picture in the cirle. Scroll to the “About me” section of your profile
Your location will be displayed at the top
2nd:
- Go to your profile screen
- Tap on the gear button on the left of your profile picture.
- Your current location will be displayed under the “Location” section.
3rd:
- Go to the homescreen (the butterfly button in the bottom navigation bar)
- Tap on the filter button in the top right corner
- Your location will be displayed at the bottom of the filters list.
I want to update my email address
To update your email address please follow these steps:
- Go to your Profile screen
- Tap on the gear button on the left of your profile picture
- Tap on the ‘Email address’ field in the “Account”
- Enter new email
- Tap on the ‘Change email’ button
Your email is updated now!
I want to update my phone number
Unfortunately for now there’s no option to update the phone number yourself.
Please contact our support support@trueflutter.com and we’ll help you change your phone number.
I want to change my location
There are two ways to change your current location.
- Account settings:
- Go to your Profile screen
- Tap on the gear button on the left of your profile picture
- Tap on the ‘Change location’ button in the “Privacy” section
- Type the desired location manually in the text input field and select an option from the drop-down list or zoom out/zoom in and drop a pin
- Tap on Save changes
- Search filters screen:
- Go to the homescreen (the butterfly button in the bottom navigation bar)
- Tap on the filter button in the top right corner
- Scroll to the bottom of the filters list.
- Tap on change my location.
Please be aware that changing your location is one of the exclusive benefits offered with our Premium subscription. To access this feature, consider upgrading your profile for an enhanced experience.
I want to delete my account
Instead of deleting your account, have you considered switching your account to invisible mode? Invisible mode allows you to temporarily hide your profile from other users while still keeping your profile intact.
If you still wish to delete your account, please follow these steps:
- Go to your profile screen
- Tap on the gear button on the left of your profile picture.
- Scroll to the bottom.
- Tap on the ‘Delete Account’ button.
- Select a reason, or just tap on the ‘Delete’ button.
That this action can’t be reverted and you’ll lose your profile forever.
Please note that deleting your profile does not automatically cancel your subscription. You will need to cancel it manually in the appropriate app store (e.g. Apple Store, Google Play Store). If you are unsure of how to do this, please contact us at support@trueflutter.com and we will be happy to assist you.
Invisible mode
To enable the invisible mode and hide your profile from other users, please follow these steps:
- Go to the filters screen
- Look for the “Premium privacy features” section
- Find the toggle button labeled “Make my profile invisible to everyone”
- Toggle the button on to activate the invisible mode feature
Please note that enabling invisible mode is a premium feature, which means that it will trigger the paywall for free users. If you have not already purchased a premium subscription, you will need to do so in order to access this feature.
